We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following full-time position:

Position Summary

Working under the direction of the Ecommerce Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by facilitating relationships with Travel Agents, Affiliates, Brokers, and other strategic partners. The primary goal is to build this program by researching new strategic partnerships, providing streamlined onboarding processes and nurturing these partners to foster continuous growth. This is a full-time position with benefits that is open to local (Rhode Island area) candidates and those who prefer to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer needs
  • Research and lead new strategic partnership opportunities
  • Maintain current partner relationships and identify areas of growth with each partner
  • Collaborate cross functionally to build and maintain a toolbelt of up to date assets and content to assist partners with promotion of our brand
  • Provide strategic insight and guidance to help meet business goals
  • Develop a cadence for vetting new partners and establish partnership goals
  • Review existing partnerships to determine performance goals and establish brand relevancy
  • Develop reporting and communication process for each partner channel
  • Foster growth within the existing Business Development team
  • Maintain a strong understanding of InsureMyTrip partner programs and business position
  • Maintain optimum communication with internal stakeholders to report sales, trends, obstacles to success, etc.
  • Attend travel and trade shows as needed

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Experience in Business, Marketing, or similar area
  • Experience in the travel insurance business and knowledge of products preferred
  • Knowledge of Affiliate platforms (such as Impact) a plus
  • Proficiency using Salesforce preferred
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to express technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Proven track record of building relationships
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%, as needed
